Dirty Pictures

by D.W. Gregory, directed by Rick Davis
Judy can't get around all that well, but her heart works just fine, thank you, and it's fixated on her boss. Dan is an amiable guy whose gorgeous girlfriend drives him to jealous distraction. But Judy knows that beauty isn't everything--especially when it steps out at night and poses naked for other guys.
D.W. Gregory is a resident playwright at New Jersey Repertory Company, as well as a National Core Member of the Playwrights Center in Minneapolis. Her work has been presented throughout the United States and abroad and is published by Dramatic Publishing. Dirty Pictures centers on Judy, a young woman with a very active heart, and Dan, an amicable young man whose free-wheeling girlfriend may not have one.

About Some Baby

by Kristen DeWulf, directed by Shirley Serotsky
A false labor, an untimely hot flash, and a mooing cow. About Some Baby follows three couples and one baby over the course of one surreal evening spent in a Chinese Restaurant where they experience the magic, heartache, and frustration of procreation.
Kristen DeWulf produced her first original play at the age of seven where it ran for one night in her Grandmother’s living room. More recently, her works have received stagings at Georgia State College and University, Woolly Mammoth Theatre, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Arts. She holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing.

Three

Comic shorts by Michael Merino, directed by Kerri Rambow
Seat Yourself - A woman and a man attempt to dine a restaurant, but the man's constant absence from the table makes the enjoyment of the evening prohibitive. His existence is questioned by an impossible waiter with a silly accent.
Pompa y Circunstancia - Two brothers mis-communicate what they should wear as a prank to their graduation ceremony. The event is accompanied by a gloomy and absurd commencement address.
Porcupine - Sigmund Freud comes to America to deliver a series of lectures and to find his inner porcupine. Along with C.J. Jung, Freud joins William James and James Jackson Putnam in the Adirondacks for a few days of hiking, Wagnerian sing-a-longs, and tetherball competitions.
Michael Merino was a semi-finalist at the Playwrights' Center's PlayLabs Festival as well as a finalist for the Charles M. Getchell Award by the Southeast Theatre Conference. His work has received readings at the Kennedy Center and the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. He will present three short plays at the Playreading Series: Pompa y Circunstancia, Porcupine, and Seat Yourself – which won first place in the Theatre Oxford's Annual Ten-Minute Play Contest in 2007.
